Our neighbour, Liz recommended us to stop by the Serviceton Historic Railway Station near Bordertown during our drive towards Adelaide.
We found it by chance as the signpost was simply "Historic Railway". Without much of a plan, we decided to drive there to have a browse. Upon arrival, a caravaning couple arrived too. We were polite to each other. Keeping social distancing.
After walking around the outside, admiring the beautiful red brick building, we walked back to the car. The couple started talking to us and were impressed by our bicycle setup on our ute. While this was happening, an old codger came walking by. His face was marked with years of experience in the outback. He donned an Akubura hat. He also had ripped jeans that were as old as him. His eyes were as blue as the summer skies. He asked shyly if we would like to have a look inside the building as he has the key.
We promptly jumped at the chance of a private tour of the building. He was thorough and was ready to answer all our questions. We were very thankful.
