Ella Mae will be starting Prep this year. We have been practicing for a whole year now of pavement riding. We know she will be able to ride to school as she has been so determined.
Today, the boys had a boys day out and us girls had our own day out.
The girls' destination was Dish and Spoon Cafe on Highfield Road. On our way there, she spoke to her friend, Sophie the Giraffe.
She ordered hot chips even though it was a super hot day....and a chocolate smoothie. This is a good cafe to go to as it is child friendly. There is a park nearby as well and also a bike park. The food and coffee is good as well. We did some drawing and colouring in together. We talked about her starting school and how excited she was about having a fantastic teacher.
She managed to ride 5km on this hot day...high 30 degree Celsius! We are so very proud of her.
We saw the boys on our way home.
The children's faces were so flushed when we arrived home that we decided it was best to "water" them down with a hose outside! They loved it!
