How we pack a sleeping bag?

We have three different brands of sleeping bags for the family. I use the same theory for rolling into the stuff bag when we are transporting from one place to another. We do not store them rolled though. One thing for sure - the better quality the sleeping bag, the smaller the stuff sack. Practice makes perfect.

Method
Lay sleeping bag flat (bottom of bag face down, top of bag face up)
Zip up as the zip teeth can damage the sleeping bag or stuff sack
Close all velcro as this helps protect the velcro and prevent damage to the sleeping bag or stuff sack.
Press down with two hands on the surface of bag to compress out as much air as possible
Fold into half or into thirds length-ways. Use the stuff sack to measure the required width.
Roll from the feet towards the head of the sleeping bag with two hands. Ensure the zips are within the inside of the roll not the outside
Push down as you roll.
If and when you take your hands off from rolling, use one of your knees to hold the roll down.
Once you get to the head of the sleeping bag, clamp the roll between your thighs
Fetch the stuff sack nearby (I always keep this nearby while I roll as I find it easier to manage)
Put the stuff sack over the roll
Lets say that when you are looking at the roll and the roll is spiraling clockwise, you have to pull down the stuff sack over the roll in clockwise rotation. If it is anti-clockwise, then pull down the stuff sack over in anti-clockwise rotation.

Extras
Sometimes, there is an extra flap in the stuff sack. Tuck this in and then pull the toggle. This helps keep the sleeping bag clean when in transport.
Sometimes, there is an additional compression bag. Place the filled stuff sack on the bottom panel of the compression bag. Pull opposite straps evenly. Pull tighter but evenly.

Reflection
In our first camping trip as a family, I had to walk away from my task of packing one of the sleeping bags. The hot sun was burning my back. Rolling the sleeping bag while the tent was in the sun was no fun. The tent felt like a sauna. After three tries of stuffing the sleeping bag into its stuff bag, I had to walk away from the task as I was so frustrated.
The next camping trip was better, I completed the challenge in one go! I jumped up and down and did a little dance to celebrate!
